Head of HR

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organisation’s goals and objectives.
    • Talent management – succession planning, career development, retention
    • Performance management – goal setting, appraisals and feedback mechanisms
    • Training and development – identify training needs and develop training programs
  • Provide strategic guidance and leadership regarding HR-related matters, including advising, coaching, counselling and development planning.
  • Collaborate with Management to drive organisational effectiveness and efficiency through HR initiatives.
  • Build up competitive edge and branding of the company to attract and retain talents.
  • Promote employee engagement and manage employee relations issues, ensuring a positive work environment.
  • Oversee HR administration tasks such as payroll, employee records management and HRIS maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employee laws and regulations and keep abreast of changes in employment law.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organisational Psychology, or a related field.
  • MBA and/or professional HR certifications will be an added advantage.
  • Proven progressive experience in HR management roles, with demonstrated leadership and strategic planning abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices and industry trends. Experience in oil and energy industry will be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with employees at all levels of the organisation.
